Clay Travis puts Ohio State in his top four college football teams

This had to be done somewhat begrudgingly. If you’ve followed sports media personality Clay Travis at all, then you know he’s about as controversial as they come, likes to ignite fires under certain fan bases, and can generally be seen as a polarizing figure (okay, maybe generally is conservative).

Travis might try to be objective, but it certainly doesn’t come off that way. His views are always slanted towards the SEC, and rarely do we see anything positive coming out from him regarding Ohio State.

He’s got a shtick, he sticks to it, riles people up and it really works for him. He’s alienated many along the way, but there’s no arguing against the ratings gold that he’s become and the empire he has built.

But, now, surprisingly — Travis is giving Ohio State a little bit of love three games into the season.

Travis released his Top 10 teams in college football as it stands right now, and he has the Buckeyes at No. 4. The rest of his top ten is below.

Of course anything put out there by Travis isn’t without controversy. He has LSU at No. 1 ahead of Clemson and Alabama, and has thrown UCF up there in his top ten as well.

It’s one thing for Kirk Herbstreit or Joel Klatt to have a positive impression of Ohio State, but it’s a completely foreign thing to get Travis to do so. In fact, he may have had to go play Rocky Top after this tweet and wash his mouth out with soap.

So rejoice Ohio State fans if you’d like, just be sure to take it with a grain of salt.
