Clay Matthews signed with the Rams and sad Packers fans handled it with class

Clay Matthews is now a member of the Los Angeles Rams, signing a two year deal with the NFC champs on Tuesday night.

Matthews spent the first 10 years of his career being a star for the Green Bay Packers. He won a Super Bowl with the franchise, was named to six Pro Bowls, and collected 83.5 sacks.

It’s another big-name loss for the Green Bay Packers, as wide receiver Randall Cobb signed with the Dallas Cowboys also on Tuesday.

Matthews, who played his college ball at the Coliseum with USC, announced his return to Los Angeles with this tweet Tuesday night:

Two-year deal for LB Clay Matthews with the #Rams worth a max of $16.75 million, source says. He had more lucrative offers on the table but he just welcomed his third child and really wanted to play close to home. Plus, a shot at another ring doesn’t hurt.
