Clay Matthews had a great reaction to seeing the Packers’ photo of new LB wearing No. 52

The Green Bay Packers used the No. 12 pick in last week’s NFL draft on Michigan linebacker Rashan Gary.

And now we know they’ll have a new No. 52 in their lineup, as Gary will wear a number that former Packers great Clay Matthews wore for the past 10 seasons, in which he racked up a total of 83.5 sacks.

Matthews, of course, is now a member of the Los Angeles Rams, as he signed a two-year deal with the team shortly after free agency began last month.

But he did have a little fun when seeing the Packers’ tweet showing off their new No. 52.

Lots of fans thought that was a bit too soon, but the Packers only have a limited amount of open numbers left. Still though, they still have lots of love for Matthews.
