Claudio Bravo returns to Man City training after lengthy injury lay-off

Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was spotted back in first-team training this week after a lengthy injury lay-off.

The Chilean shot-stopped has missed the entirety of the season after suffering a ruptured achillies tendon in August.

The last time Bravo was spotted in goal for the Blues was in the Community Shield final in which he kept a clean sheet as City beat Chelsea 2-0 at Wembley thanks to a double from Sergio Aguero.

As a result of his untimely injury, 20-year-old Arijanet Muric has deputised for Ederson this season.

There were concerns in January that Bravo may be out for even longer as reports in Chile claimed that he had suffered an infection in the wound following the surgery in Barcelona, which would have also ruled him out of this summer's Copa America tournament.

Thankfully the reports were quickly denied by City and Bravo responded to them by publishing a video of him running on a cross-trainer.

The video was accompanied by a message that thanked “all the people who have been by my side in my recovery, and all those that day by day radiate affection and good vibes.

Preparing for what’s coming: Manchester City and Copa America”.

Now it appears that City's second choice stopper is nearing a return to action after being photographed at the latest Man City training session and may be fit enough to represent his country in Brazil.
