Claudia Winkleman launches Boots serum promising firmer, younger skin in a week

A serum that promises to give you firmer, younger-looking skin in just one week has been launched.

And it meant that 37,000 people on the waiting list could at last get hold of the Boots No7 Laboratories face cream.

Claudia Winkleman launched the Firming Booster Serum with a Dark Spot Correcting Booster Serum, which promises to lighten age spots in two weeks.

In trials on 220 women, 79% said the firming serum made their skin feel firmer, 73% said their skin looked lifted and 76% said their skin seemed tighter.

Another 214 women tested the Dark Spot Booster Serum, and 75% said age spots, dark spots and other areas of pigmentation appeared faded.

The £38 firming serum comes with a roller-ball applicator that helps deliver the ingredients deep into the skin.

It has four times more firming complex than existing No7 serums and contains hyaluronic acid, hibiscus seed extract and “Matrixyl 3000 Plus” to fill fine lines and improve collagen levels.

The dark spot serum, also £38, has six times more lightening technology than No7 serums and contains sephora embilica, vitamin A, mulberry, liquorice and gluconolactone.

In April 2017, the No7 Line Correcting Booster serum was so hotly anticipated there was an online waiting list with 17,500 names on it.

In 2007, the No7 Protect & Perfect Serum sold out. Sales rocketed by almost 2,000% after the BBC2 show Horizon praised the serum.
