Claudia Schiffer's uber-chic patio perfects two major trends that will live into 2026 – and it only requires three items

Claudia Schiffer.

If you've been enjoying your outdoor seating areas this summer as much as we have, then you likely have been thinking about how to make your furniture feel as comfortable, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing as possible.

Enter Claudia Schiffer's outdoor area: a masterclass in bold yet minimal furniture. The model's yard features a wood Adirondack chair accented by earth-toned cushions, as well as an olive green, bulbous accent table.

When we think of the best outdoor furniture, we think of pieces that are as functional as they are trend-forward, and Claudia's simple set-up checks all the boxes. While they look ultra-fashionable now, we expect they'll look just as trend-forward in 2026, so you can invest in her look knowing it has longevity.

According to design experts, Claudia's green sofa and colorful cushions fall well in line with a top outdoor furniture trend: the incorporation of color.

Bo Hellberg, CMO at Swedish outdoor furniture specialists Grythyttan Stålmöbler, shares, '2025 will see us being bolder with color and incorporating bright yet calming hues into our outdoor spaces. From soothing greens, mellow yellows, and rustic reds, these shades fit seamlessly into any outdoor space, be it the countryside or cityscape, while adding a touch of high design.'

The green table and earthy cushions strike a balance between bold color infusion and soft neutrals, pairing well with the natural elements, like trees, in Claudia's yard.

Additionally, opting for natural and/or textured cushion covers is a fantastic way to maintain visual interest in an outdoor area.

David Harris, Design Director at Andrew Martin, says, 'We shouldn’t have to compromise when using fabrics outside. Long gone are the days of slippery nylon cushions and covers. Now, there is a whole host of luxurious and well-designed fabrics that can be used. Outdoor weaves and eco digital prints all perform incredibly well against light and fading, and they can withstand a shower or two as well!'

Think textured materials like corduroy, linen, or even velvet. However, make sure to store these items safely when not in use to preserve their quality.
