Claudia Lawrence investigation: More police arrive at North Shields home of murder suspect

Yet more cops have arrived at the Tyneside home of a Claudia Lawrence murder suspect this morning.

Searches at the house in North Shields where the suspect once lived with his mother are now entering their fourth day.

And this morning more police officers could be seen arriving.

The uniformed cops were carrying items in and out of the well-maintained semi in front of neighbours that are now becoming accustomed to the police presence on their usually quiet street.

The suspect was questioned on suspicion of murdering the 35-year-old chef before being released on bail.

Police have also searched a home in York.

Claudia was as last seen at around 3.05pm on March 18, after leaving her work at York University and after she failed to turn up at work the next day Claudia was reported missing by her dad Peter.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Forensic searches at relevant properties are expected to continue for a number of days.”
