Classy Kay Burley battles to keep composure in violent winds on live Sky broadcast

This is the comical moment journalist Kay Burley was nearly blown away by monster gales live on Sky News.

As a thunderstorm lashed across Westminster today, the experienced broadcaster chatted to experts and politicians outside Houses of Parliament.

Kay, 58, and the team were battered by gales and downpours - but she was praised for remaining "stoical".

"It's raining on the parade of the Prime Minister here at Westminster," she said with a giggle.

"And the wind is coming right in this direction."

Many viewers praised her professionalism on Twitter .

"A fascinating discussion in the thunderstorm and the downpour in London! How stoical they were in extreme conditions," wrote one woman.

Boris Johnson defied to resign following the Supreme Court ruling his call to suspend parliament was unlawful.

Speaking during the Labour Party Conference in Brighton, East Sussex, Jeremy Corbyn called for the leader to quit.

He said: "The Prime Minister should now resign."

"That would make him the shortest serving Prime Minister in British history and rightly so."

He called the PM’s plan to crash out of the EU with a deal "reckless and disastrous" but insisted it has failed due to today’s decision.

Mr Corbyn said: "He will never shut down our democracy or silence the voices of us, the people."
