'Classless, right decision' - Chelsea fans split as Frank Lampard to be sacked

Frank Lampard is set to face the sack on Monday according to the Daily Telegraph.

Our liveblog will bring you all the latest from Stamford Bridge on what could be a momentous day for the club.

Lampard led Chelsea to a 3-1 win over Luton Town in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, the Blues third win in four, yet the boss may soon be facing the chop following a poor first half of the season.

Chelsea sit ninth in the Premier League 11 points behind leaders Manchester United at the half-way stage of the season, a poor return for a club of their stature.

Lampard was given more than £200million to spend in the last transfer window but with the likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz coming in and struggling the pressure has been mounting on the 42-year-old.

Some fans are delighted with the news claiming that the job was 'too soon' for Lampard, while another said it 'the best news this year'.

Other Chelsea fans were not so happy with the news writing ' I may have to find a new team to support' and that the move was 'classless'.

Sacking a club legend will not be an easy decision for Chelsea and the fans are split on the news that Lampard may soon be gone.

Thomas Tuchel is the early favourite to replace Lampard with the German having recently left Paris Saint-Germain.
