Classic Leeds United badge gets an awesome makeover for special event

Take a look at this awesome reworking of a classic Leeds United badge for a special event.

The badge on the players’ kits during the famous Champions League semi final run underwent something of a makeover to launch the Bands FC v Dorothy exhibition at Brudenell Social Club.

For those who don’t know, Bands FC take classic football badges and with a little tweak here and there they make them into emblems for iconic bands.

They have hundreds of designs dedicated to artists such as Oasis, The Rolling Stones, Daft Punk and many more.

They are currently displaying many of their creations in Leeds at Brudenell. To launch the exhibition, they put on a big football and music crossover party at the venue.

It featured a DJ performance from Premier League referee Jon Moss, who opened record store The Vinyl Whistle in Leeds, earlier this year, as well as bands Dirty Laces and Skylights.

Both bands had emblems made for them, courtesy of Bands FC, and the latter’s is a reworked version from the unforgettable Champions League run. A similar version of the badge currently features on Leeds United’s kits - of course.

If you’d like to go to the Bands FC exhibition then it is free to enter.

It finishes at Brudenell Social Club on Sunday, December 29.
