HEAD along to the BVAC Classic festival of motoring on Sunday and you could find yourself owning your own piece of automotive history.
Among the many attractions at the event at Thirlestane Castle, Lauder, the Jim Clark Trust will be there promoting the opening of the new £1.65million Jim Clark Motorsport Museum in nearby Duns in July.
You’ll also be able to find out how you can win a Jim Clark Special Edition Lotus Evora GT410 Sport simply by entering an online competition for just £20, with the money going to the charity.
The stunning car has been made even more special as the trust has just returned from the Monaco Grand Prix, where all 20 F1 drivers signed it. Alongside the Evora, visitors to the BVAC Classic will also be able to see racing legend Clark's original 1960s Elan.
Officially the 100,000th Lotus ever built, the Evora is worth more than £100,000 and features an exclusive livery replicating Clark’s famous 1964 Elan, as well as a Jim Clark signature and tartan cloth interior.
Powered by a 410hp 3.5-litre V6 engine mated to a precise six-speed manual gearbox, the Evora can hit 60mph from a standing start in just 4.0 seconds and redlines at 190mph.
More than 1200 classic and vintage vehicles are due to be on show at the festival, which starts at 11am on Sunday.
