It has been a contrasting few days for Tottenham forward Son Heung-min.
The South Korean international was sent off on Sunday as Spurs drew 1-1 with Everton at Goodison Park, with Son shown a red card by referee Martin Atkinson after a challenge on Andre Gomes, who sustained a fracture dislocation to his right ankle after landing awkwardly and colliding with Tottenham defender Serge Aurier.
Son was initially shown a yellow card, but Atkinson then produced a red card after seeing the severity of the injury to the Everton midfielder, although Tottenham have subsequently appealed against a three-match ban for the forward, which has now been overturned.
Son was visibly upset in the aftermath of the challenge, with Everton defender Seamus Coleman going into the Spurs dressing room after the game to console the Tottenham man.
He was back in action this evening (Wednesday) though, and was back among the goals for Spurs, with Son scoring twice in the second half as Tottenham faced Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League.
And plenty of fans noticed what Son did when he celebrated the first of his two goals in Belgrade.
After firing home Tottenham's second goal of the game, Son went to the camera and appeared to apologise, with many supporters believing that to be aimed in the direction of Gomes, who has broken his silence since the incident today with a social media message after undergoing successful surgery on his ankle.
