Police are at the scene of an incident in Clarkston with swathes of the area cordoned off.
Parts of Battlefield Road and Clarkston Road have been shut for several hours as locals report seeing a huge presence of officers in the streets.
Eyewitnesses said police and ambulance arrived at the scene at around 1am this morning, with a helicopter also spotted hovering above the southside.
It comes after one resident told Glasgow Live he heard someone "screaming" from a nearby property at around midnight last night and said officers had been questioning locals in the area later this morning.
Bus services have been redirected this morning due to police vans blocking off routes.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
