Despite the uncertainty of whether Scottish schools will open as planned on August 11, a new deal from Clarks is an investment parents should consider.
The popular shoe retailer has launched a new initiative to help cut down the costs of kitting out kids for the new school year.
Clarks is promising to replace children's shoes for free if they outgrow them by February, 2021.
The offer was spotted by a mum who shared the shoe deal on the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group.
She wrote: “I was toying with buying them early to avoid the rush the couple of weeks before school but worrying about getting them too early, but now I’ve booked to get them.”
Mirror Online reports that the deal at Clarks means if parents get a special fitting for their little ones in store, they won’t pay for a new pair until February, 28 2021.
And if they do grow faster than expected, Clarks will let you exchange your shoes for free.
The deal is available on all full price back to school children's shoes - including school shoes, boots, plimsolls and sports shoes, but there are some conditions.
The offer only applies to infant sizes 10 and above from the date of purchase to February 28 next year.
For infant sizes 7 to 9.5, Clarks says you only have until November 30, 2020 to swap them for a new pair.
You also have to buy them from a Clarks shop before September 14, 2020 and the shoes must have been fitted by a trained Clarks fitter - online sales don't count.
To get the shoes swapped, you need to bring the old shoes into the store, show your receipt, and have a Clarks fitter agree that they are too small.
The new shoes can't cost more than the old pair, either.
