Clarke vs TKV LIVE: Boxing result, fight stream, latest updates and reaction

Gruelling fight: Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva outlasted Frazer Clarke over 12 brutal rounds in Derby - (Getty Images)

Clarke vs TKV LIVE!

Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva is celebrating becoming the new British heavyweight champion after an upset win over Frazer Clarke. The Londoner edged his rival by split decision after a gruelling showdown that went the full 12 rounds on Saturday night, one month later than planned after TKV recovered from a rib injury. It was a successful return to primetime linear BBC television for boxing following an absence of more than 20 years after a landmark broadcasting deal agreed with Ben Shalom’s Boxxer last summer.

TKV saw a point deducted early on for repeated low blows, but had enough in the tank to outlast Clarke and claim the Lonsdale belt at the second attempt after his controversial stoppage defeat in April by David Adeleye, who later vacated. He moved to 9-2, while 2020 Olympic bronze medalist Clarke dropped to 9-2-1 as a professional after a second loss in his last three outings following that brutal early stoppage defeat last year in a rematch with now WBO champion Fabio Wardley that left him requiring jaw surgery.

Francesca Hennessy cruised to victory in her first 10-rounder on an undercard that started with wins for Jack Massey, Joel Kodua, Bradley Goldsmith, Scott Melvin and Josh Rose. Follow Clarke vs TKV live below!

TKV mocks Clarke after winning British heavyweight title

22:16 , George Flood

TKV can’t resist sticking the boot in further on an absent Clarke after his victory.

“He looked gassed after 30 seconds,” he gloats.

“This isn’t the Olympics anymore bro, this is 12 rounds.”

Jeamie TKV wins split decision against Frazer Clarke

22:03 , George Flood

Here we go...

115-113 TKV from Steve Gray, 115-112 Clarke from Terry O'Connor, 115-112 TKV from Bob Williams!

TKV wins a split decision to claim the vacant British heavyweight title at the second attempt, moving to 9-2 in the process and banishing memories of that controversial stoppage defeat by David Adeleye.

A crestfallen Clarke, meanwhile, drops to 9-2-1 and leaves the ring immediately after the result is read out.

I think he can have very few complaints given how that ended.

His winning comeback from the brutal Fabio Wardley rematch stoppage proves very short-lived indeed.

Round 12

Clarke in survival mode as TKV tries to force the last-gasp stoppage.

He tries to fight fire with fire at the last as TKV continues to dominate, but there’s just nothing at all left in the tank.

Clarke sees the final bell, but surely he’s lost this on the cards despite the point deduction for TKV.

We await the official scores...

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

Round 11

Clarke lands a thumping left early in the penultimate round and there is damage around that right eye of TKV, who has blood smeared down his back.

But here comes TKV, who hurts Clarke and has the utterly exhausted Olympic bronze medalist totally out on his feet, stumbling around and leaning on his opponent to stay upright.

Clarke looks totally done here - frustrated trainer Angel Fernandez threatens repeatedly to throw the towel in before the start of the 12th.

Can TKV get this job done?

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

Into the championship rounds we go.

Feels like this is still anyone’s fight...

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:49 , George Flood

Round 10

TKV’s gumshield comes out for the second time tonight, while Clarke is now warned by referee John Latham for low blows.

TKV’s left hook is landing so often now, while he rocks Clarke with a right uppercut on the inside in the latter stages of the 10th.

Yet another stinging left hook from TKV finds its mark before the bell.

Strong round for TKV. Is he ahead here?

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:46 , George Flood

Round 9

This is still so, so close in Derby approaching the championship rounds.

Any time you feel one of these heavyweights is starting to gain proper momentum, back comes the other to check their progress.

They continue to trade heavy shots in the ninth, both showing impressive durability.

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:42 , George Flood

Round 8

A better eighth from Clarke, who may have something of a second wind now in this most gruelling of heavyweight battles.

He lands some big shots upstairs, including another sharp right uppercut on the inside.

But TKV won’t be cowed as he finishes the round with an eye-catching left hook.

“Be tidy,” is the repeated instruction from trainer Angel Fernandez in Clarke’s corner.

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:37 , George Flood

Round 7

The busier TKV continues his momentum at the start of the seventh, but he’s warned for hitting Clarke who was feeling the effects of another shot that looked low.

He cannot afford to have any more points deducted here.

An exhausted-looking Clarke is looking to hold at every opportunity.

TKV is rattling off a few tidy combinations, including a lovely left to the body and then left hook upstairs.

21:32 , George Flood

Round 6

TKV is looking the smarter fighter at the moment, often beating Clarke to the punch and following it up with a speedy second shot before the inevitable holding.

TKV with a nice left hook before the bell in the sixth.

Clarke looks very tired halfway through the scheduled 12 rounds.

This feels very close at the moment. How crucial could that deducted point for TKV prove to be?

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:29 , George Flood

Round 5

The right uppercut is certainly the desired weapon of choice for both men so far tonight - TKV lands another couple on the inside in the fifth.

TKV wants to do more boxing behind the jab, but we are quickly back to the close-range slugfest with plenty of holding - leading to a warning for both men from referee John Latham.

(Getty Images)

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:23 , George Flood

Round 4

Clarke goes back to driving in those right uppercuts before quickly attacking the body off the jab.

But has he been buzzed by a lovely counter right hand from TKV, who is fighting back off the ropes?

More bruising shots go in from both men as this fight continues to be contested in gruelling fashion at close range between two huge heavyweights.

Energy-sapping stuff in Derby.

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:20 , George Flood

Round 3

More furious exchanges at close quarters, with success for both men - TKV now looking dangerous with those right uppercuts on the inside before his gumshield comes flying out to lead to a quick delay.

Referee John Latham deducts a point from TKV for repeated low blows after that earlier warning.

It’s usually Clarke who has the issues on that front.

2-1 to The Eraser?

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:14 , George Flood

Round 2

Clarke works the body again early in the second, then looking to drive home more of those fierce right uppercuts from close range.

TKV starts to have some success on the inside, landing a nice left hand off the ropes that may have damaged Clarke’s nose.

Both men now trying to detonate those right uppercuts.

TKV is now warned for a shot that strayed low as both men target the body.

Nice combinations now from TKV during a lively finish to an absorbing round.

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:11 , George Flood

Round 1

Worrying early signs for TKV as Clarke uncorks a succession of solid shots inside the first minute, rattling his opponent’s head with some shuddering uppercuts before attacking the body repeatedly with venom.

A couple of these shots look low but the referee doesn’t intervene and TKV catches another couple of spiteful right uppercuts.

TKV tries to settle behind the jab before the bell, with a touch of gloves between the two rivals before they return to their respective corners.

A superb opening round for Clarke.

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:07 , George Flood

Here we go!

Great reception for Clarke.

Can the 2020 Olympic bronze medalist live up to his favourite tag here and win the Lonsdale belt at the third time of asking?

Time to find out...

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV

21:04 , George Flood

A couple of refreshingly swift main-event ring walks, with Clarke following TKV.

Burton man Clarke sounds like a clear fans’ favourite in the East Midlands.

We’ll be underway after the final introductions from Big Mo.

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV up next

21:00 , George Flood

The undercard is now done and dusted at Derby’s Vaillant Live Arena.

Frazer Clarke and Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva go head to head next in a delayed showdown for the vacant British heavyweight title.

Expect fireworks!

Francesca Hennessy calls out Shannon Courtenay

20:58 , George Flood

An initially diplomatic response from Hennessy when asked by Steve Bunce on the BBC who she wants to fight next.

Pressed for a name, she responds: “Let’s go, Shannon Courtenay.”

Courtenay is the former WBA bantamweight champion who has lost two of her last three fights, including a shock defeat on her comeback last year against Catherine Tacone Ramos.

Francesca Hennessy wins every round against Fabiana Bytyqi

20:51 , George Flood

All three judges score the fight 100-90 in favour of Hennessy, who did indeed take all 10 rounds.

Fully deserved.

She’s the new WBC International champion at bantamweight.

Francesca Hennessy vs Fabiana Bytyqi

20:50 , George Flood

No second stoppage of her early career for Hennessy, but that was as comfortable as it gets.

She’s dancing in the ring after a superb maiden 10-rounder, in which she dominated from the outset with fast hands, speedy footwork and a great variety of punches and combinations to both body and head.

Surely the judges’ scorecards will be overwhelmingly in her favour.

We await Big Mo’s return...

(Getty Images)

Francesca Hennessy vs Fabiana Bytyqi

20:46 , George Flood

Two minutes to go and Hennessy is surely pitching a shutout here.

Her energy levels have not dipped at all during such a confident debut outing over 10 rounds.

Can she finish with a flourish?

Francesca Hennessy vs Fabiana Bytyqi

20:43 , George Flood

No fears at all about Hennessy lasting the 10-round distance here.

Eight down now and she’s only getting better and better, increasing the tempo and pressure on an increasingly overwhelmed Bytyqi, putting more power on those superb variety of punches and stellar combinations.

I can’t find a single round for Bytyqi so far.

Francesca Hennessy vs Fabiana Bytyqi

20:38 , George Flood

The stylish Hennessy should have all six rounds firmly in the bag here.

She’s in full flow, gliding around the ring and repeatedly showcasing those lightning-fast hands - with her impressive head movement stopping any Bytyqi counters from landing.

Bytyqi continues to get overwhelmed by so many punches to both body and head.

(Getty Images)

Francesca Hennessy vs Fabiana Bytyqi

20:35 , George Flood

Hennessy is switching up her attacks a lot to keep Bytyqi on the back foot.

She’s matching her quick feet with fast hands, unloading plenty of eye-catching flurries and still showing good variety with her punches, to both head and body.

Bytyqi has had one or two moments, but nothing to trouble Hennessy remotely.

Francesca Hennessy vs Fabiana Bytyqi

20:31 , George Flood

This is an easy night’s work so far for Hennessy.

She looks a cut above former atomweight world champion Bytyqi through four rounds, dominating the fight with her quick, clever footwork.

It’s allowing her to land whatever she wants for the most part.

Bytyqi can’t live with her speed and movement.

Francesca Hennessy vs Fabiana Bytyqi

20:23 , George Flood

A fast start from Hennessy, who looks nice and quick on her feet from the outset, moving in and out of range smoothly and landing a nice variety of early shots.

Bytyqi looking a tad sluggish so far.

Francesca Hennessy vs Fabiana Bytyqi

20:19 , George Flood

Kent’s Hennessy is 6-0 since turning professional at 18.

She currently holds the WBA Intercontinental title at bantamweight having outpointed Bolivia’s Carla Camila Campos in March on the Natasha Jonas-Lauren Price undercard at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Can she make another early statement tonight, fighting over 10 rounds for the first time?

Francesca Hennessy vs Fabiana Bytyqi

20:16 , George Flood

It’s time for the main televised two-fight card at Derby’s Vaillant Live Arena.

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva for the vacant British heavyweight title is coming up very soon.

But first up is what is expected to be the toughest test yet for the unbeaten Francesca ‘Billion-Dollar Baby’ Hennessy, the daughter of long-time promoter Mick Hennessy who competes for the WBC International bantamweight title.

She’s up against former atomweight world champion Fabiana Bytyqi from the Czech Republic.

Jack Massey wants Chris Billam-Smith fight next

19:58 , George Flood

Massey gives full credit to the heavy-handed Gabriel Garcia in his post-fight interview, saying he has never previously been knocked down by a punch to the head in 20 years in boxing - a career that includes fights against the likes of Joseph Parker, Jai Opetaia, Richard Riakporhe and Isaac Chamberlain.

He says he wants Chris Billam-Smith next in a big all-British showdown at cruiserweight, which promoter Ben Shalom says he hopes to make for January.

Billam-Smith has not fought since April, as he bounced back from losing his WBO title to Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez in Riyadh by outpointing American Brandon Glanton on the undercard of the first Chris Eubank Jr-Conor Benn fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A proposed WBO interim title contest against Germany’s Roman Fress never came to fruition.

(Getty Images)

Jack Massey stops Ivan Gabriel Garcia in round four

19:49 , George Flood

An explosive end to an explosive fight!

Gabriel Garcia comes out aggressively again at the start of the fourth, but he’s got no defence at all as he carelessly rushes in and gets caught heavily by a lovely short counter left hook from Massey.

Down goes the Argentine and he’s duly counted out.

A spiteful shot from Massey, who bounces back from that shock first-round knockdown to get back to winning ways.

Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV start time

19:46 , George Flood

A reminder that tonight’s huge main event at Derby’s Vaillant Live Arena between Frazer Clarke and Jeamie ‘TKV’ Tshikeva for the vacant British heavyweight title is scheduled to get underway at 9pm GMT.

(Getty Images)

Jack Massey vs Ivan Gabriel Garcia

19:43 , George Flood

Gabriel Garcia is rocked by some thunderous shots early in the second and his legs are all over the place.

To his credit, he is undeterred and keeps swinging with some menacing punches of his own.

So much action in the opening six minutes of this scheduled six-rounder.

That’s another nasty cut above Gabriel Garcia’s right eye that could cause real problems.

Jack Massey vs Ivan Gabriel Garcia

19:39 , George Flood

What a first round!

Massey is caught by a big overhand right early on and is only stopped from going all the way down to the canvas by the bottom rope.

He rightly receives a count without complaint but comes roaring back, throwing spitefully to the body and opening up a cut above Gabriel Garcia’s right eye.

Jack Massey vs Ivan Gabriel Garcia

19:36 , George Flood

The pace of this undercard is quite something - the next fighters are already in the ring.

Former European, Commonwealth and IBO cruiserweight champion Jack ‘One Smack’ Massey fights for the first time since his sixth-round stoppage defeat when challenging the formidable Jai Opetaia for the IBF title in Riyadh last October.

He is up against the 10-4-1 Argentine Ivan Gabriel Garcia, who was stopped in the ninth round by France’s European champion Leonardo Mosquea on his last outing in June.

And the new! Joel Kodua outpoints bloodied Bobby Dalton

19:32 , George Flood

The judges’ scorecards read 97-94, 97-93 and 98-92 - all in favour of Dagenham’s Joel ‘JFK’ Kodua, who claims the English welterweight title and improves his unbeaten record to 10-0.

Such a brave effort from Dalton, but he loses his belt and his own undefeated record in the process.

He’s now 11-1.

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

19:29 , George Flood

Referee Steve Gray temporarily halts proceedings for a second time early in the final round, with Dalton having some of the excess blood wiped from his badly damaged face.

The wounded but brave champion goes for broke again with nothing to lose, but Kodua is battering him to the body in response and looks to have hurt Dalton again late on.

The final bell sounds after an absorbing contest and Kodua’s corner are delighted, with training partner Anthony Yarde among those celebrating at ringside.

Surely a comfortable points win coming here for Kodua.

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

19:24 , George Flood

An almighty scrap in the penultimate ninth round, with Dalton defying those nasty facial injuries to make Kodua think with some heavy flurries as the two men continue to tee off at close range.

Kodua is caught a few times by some fierce short left hooks, but mostly manages to fire back with interest.

What an effort by Dalton though, incredible.

Kodua is well on top here of course but does not want to get drawn into a firefight like that if he can help it.

Three minutes to go...

(Getty Images)

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

19:19 , George Flood

Dalton is certainly not giving up his English welterweight belt easily here and you have to credit his sheer bravery and determination.

But he continues to be tagged heavily by a confident Kodua, who is controlling the range very well now against his battered opponent, jabbing brilliantly and showing great punch variety with these combinations.

Dalton is still trying to rush Kodua and inflict some damage on the inside, but he’s getting caught repeatedly on the way in or else easily repelled.

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

19:13 , George Flood

Referee Steve Gray calls for the ringside doctor to come up and check Dalton’s facial injuries as we have a temporary delay early in the seventh round.

Dalton obviously wants to fight on, but that is such a bad cut.

Kodua has his hands raised in the opposite corner, but Dalton is given the go ahead to continue... for now.

I thought he was being pulled out there after lengthy discussions, but on we go.

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

19:11 , George Flood

Dalton’s face is an awful bloodied mess as another solid shot early in the sixth immediately opens up the terrible cut underneath his right eye.

His nose may well be busted too with more blood streaming out of there.

Kodua is going through the gears now and piecing together some strong combinations, repeatedly finding a home for his powerful right hand.

A brave Dalton sticks his tongue out in defiance, but this is all going badly wrong for the champion.

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

19:07 , George Flood

Kodua attacks the body again early in the fifth and then buzzes Dalton with a big shot upstairs.

Dalton tries to fight fire with fire and quickly reassert some authority, but he’s been caught massively again by a peach of an uppercut and it’s immediately opened up a horror cut underneath his already swollen right eye.

That is really, really nasty and the blood is gushing out.

A lot of work to do in Dalton’s corner before the sixth.

Halfway through this English welterweight title fight and Kodua has taken control...

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

19:04 , George Flood

Dalton is trying to lean on Kodua wherever possible through four gruelling rounds, always on the front foot and letting his hands go in a blur on the inside.

But the better work is mostly being done by Kodua, who keeps targeting the body well in response.

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

19:00 , George Flood

Dalton continues to rush Kodua and let the shots fly as fast as possible.

He’s so busy and piling a lot of pressure on Kodua, who isn’t being too bothered by the repeated flurries.

He’s still countering nicely at times and fighting well off the back foot.

Very interested to see how this is being scored...

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

18:56 , George Flood

A good scrap this after two of 10 scheduled rounds.

Dalton is the constant aggressor on the front foot, walking down Kodua and trying to let his hands go with some furious flurries.

But Kodua has sat back and unleashed some decent counters, finishing both rounds strongly.

Bobby Dalton vs Joel Kodua

18:49 , George Flood

The undercard quickly rolls on in Derby, with the 11-0 Bobby Dalton from Redcar in Yorkshire next defending his English welterweight title against unbeaten former Southern Area and Commonwealth Silver champion Joel Kodua (9-0).

Our first title bout of the night, between two undefeated talents.

This should be good!

Kodua is trained by Tunde Ajayi, with stablemate Anthony Yarde in attendance at ringside - just a week after his brutal beatdown by WBC light-heavyweight champion David Benavidez in Riyadh.

Bradley Goldsmith beats Jordan Dujon on points

18:42 , George Flood

No late stoppage, but that result was never in doubt for Coventry’s Goldsmith against an opponent who only stepped in as a replacement for the Chris Eubank Jr-managed Mauro Silva last week.

Referee Bob Williams scores the bout 79-73 in his favour.

Bradley Goldsmith vs Jordan Dujon

18:35 , George Flood

Goldsmith has been dominant as we approach the final stages of this eight-round contest.

He controlled the first half of the fight without really ever exploding into life, but clearly hurt Dujon there with a fierce counter right hand in the seventh.

Can he now push for a last-gasp stoppage?

Dujon’s corner have done well to treat a horrible cut above his left eye that poured with blood.

They also properly read him the riot act after the sixth, very unhappy with his approach.

(Getty Images)

Bradley Goldsmith vs Jordan Dujon

18:27 , George Flood

That does it for the early two-fight prelim bill, with the main Frazer Clarke vs Jeamie TKV undercard now underway at Vaillant Live Arena.

Bradley Goldsmith and Jordan Dujon are in action to kick things off in an eight-round clash at welterweight.

Scott Melvin defeats Harvey Sturton

18:16 , George Flood

Scott Melvin joins Josh Rose with an early win in Derby tonight.

The ‘Terrier’ from Chelmsley Wood - who entered the ring wearing a lion’s head mask - steps up to outpoint Nottingham’s Harvey Sturton in a lively lightweight six-rounder.

TKV puts on 10 pounds after controversial Adeleye defeat

17:57 , George Flood

Jeamie TKV tipped the scales yesterday at 264.9lbs.

That is a career-heaviest for the Londoner and a full 10 pounds heavier than he was for his controversial sixth-round stoppage defeat by David Adeleye when he previously challenged for the British heavyweight title on the Joe Joyce vs Filip Hrgovic undercard in Manchester in April.

An immediate rematch had been ordered between Adeleye and TKV by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) following a protest launched by promoters Boxxer, with TKV being initially floored after referee Ron Kearney had clearly called “break”.

While he got back to his feet on that occasion, Adeleye quickly knocked him down again and the fight was waved off.

Adeleye vacated the Lonsdale belt rather than take part in the rematch however, choosing instead to chase a clash with Croatia’s Hrgovic in Riyadh in the summer on the Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte undercard.

Adeleye lost by decision in a 10-rounder and is next due to co-headline Chaos in the Ring II in Nigeria next month.

Josh Rose beats Jorge Luis Huerta Balleza in opener

17:45 , George Flood

We have our first result of the night in the books at Derby’s Vaillant Live Arena.

Kicking off the two-fight early prelim bill, Josh Rose has stayed unbeaten and moved to 3-0 in his young professional career with a comfortable points win over Mexico’s Jorge Luis Huerta Balleza.

Another strong showing from the decorated amateur southpaw, who was fighting his first six-rounder as he moved up to super-featherweight against an experienced opponent.

The binman from Birmingham previously defeated both Caine Singh and Jose Manuel Perez on NXT Gen cards after turning pro.

Clarke drops weight after Tetteh demolition

17:35 , George Flood

Frazer Clarke has dropped almost a full six pounds after rising up to a career-heaviest weight for his emphatic first-round stoppage of Ghana’s Ebenezer Tetteh in April, a fight that took place on the Ben Whittaker vs Liam Cameron 2 undercard in Birmingham.

It was his first outing since undergoing jaw surgery in the aftermath of a brutal first-round knockout defeat against Fabio Wardley in Riyadh in October 2024 in a decisive and one-sided rematch of their thrilling Easter Sunday draw at the O2 Arena seven months earlier.

He has gone from 276lbs to 270.2lbs.

Tetteh previously went seven rounds with Dillian Whyte in Gibraltar last year.

Clarke and TKV separated by security at fiery weigh-in

17:26 , George Flood

This British heavyweight rivalry has been simmering away nicely for a while now, with Jeamie TKV’s withdrawal from the first scheduled date on October 25 with a rib injury only adding to the spice.

The war of words has steadily ramped up throughout the week and culminated at yesterday’s fiery weigh-in, when the duo had to be separated by security in angry scenes after each getting on the scales.

“I'll take this boy to school and beat him up," Frazer Clarke said, repeatedly insisting to TKV that he would knock him out inside the first round and also sticking up his middle fingers.

His rival replied, per the BBC: “You carry on nodding your head and I'll knock you out tomorrow.”

(BBC Sport)

Clarke vs TKV prediction

17:12 , George Flood

This should be a close one to call.

Frazer Clarke is now 9-1-1 in his professional career, while Jeamie TKV comes in with an 8-2 record.

It is Clarke who comes into this contest off the back of a first-round stoppage win following his brutal rematch defeat by now WBO heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley.

However, TKV has a point to prove after his disappointing and controversial defeat by David Adeleye.

Both men will desperately want to claim the vacant British belt tonight and move on up the division.

With Clarke now 34 years old and TKV 32, time is ticking for the pair if they want to make waves in boxing’s glamour division.

Clarke to win by knockout.
