A day after former Bangladesh PM and Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina virtually addressed a news conference in New Delhi, Bangladesh Thursday asked India to clarify its policy towards Dhaka.

Bangladesh’s state minister of foreign affairs Shama Obaed said India must decide whether it will continue to allow leaders of Awami League to “carry out conspiratorial activities” from its territory.
“India is a democratic country. India itself has to decide what their foreign policy will be regarding Bangladesh. We want good relations, in the interest of the people of both countries,” she said. “But the relationship has to be based on equality, with mutual respect and maintaining their own interests. If India understands that, it will be good for everyone,” she said.
