Clarification: Iowa businessman confirms revival of Cape Breton call centre that laid off 600

SYDNEY, N.S. — In a story that moved on Friday, Dec. 21, The Canadian Press reported that businessman Anthony Marlowe suggested in a text message that managers of a closed call centre his company acquired buy their employees a beer and send him the bill. The placement of the quote in the story allowed for the interpretation that the comment was made in the context of making up for lost wages, which was not the case. A clarified version has moved.
