How autumn/winter 2014 is your Christmas tree? It’s not a question we have asked ourselves in years past, but Dolce & Gabbana have just set the precedent. This 8ft-tall evergreen, unveiled at Claridge’s, features squirrels, rabbits and deer, as well as a crown and throne – nods to the Norman invasion of Sicily in 1061. All are motifs for the brand’s current fairytale-inspired collection, and all feel truly Christmassy. It may be November but fashion’s festive period has officially begun.
