Claridge's £55 Art Deco Easter egg is back

Darling luxury London hotel Claridge's has just announced the release of its rather fabulous Easter egg.

A favourite of the Mayfair set, London's high society and the Americans, 100 of the limited-edition Art Deco eggs are available right now for chocoholics and their keepers.

Masterminded by pastry chef Yago Doamo, the luxe little Easter eggs are made using the finest Valrhona dark, milk and white chocolate. Each egg is filled to the brim with a selection of hand-made chocolate praline quail eggs (they are scandalously moorish) all of which are hand-wrapped inside a rather chic and glam eau de nil coloured box - keep it, we did.

If things couldn't get any more luxurious, the egg is covered in bespoke black and white Art Deco-style foil and is beautifully finished off with a black satin bow. Quite literally packaging made for Instagram.

Easter goals: The Claridge's Easter egg costs £55 and is available now

For those wondering, the gorgeous creation is the product of the Claridge's pastry team who once a year come together to put their chocolate making skills to the test. Each egg takes exactly three days to make (feel incredibly guilty when you eat it) using the finest cacaos on earth. Once tempered and moulded, the two halves are laboriously sealed together with absolute precision. No wonder the hotel devours a tonne of chocolate a year.

If you fancy buying one, the egg will set you back £55. Totally worth it in our books.

Buy it here or in the hotel gift shop.
