Clare v Offaly All-Ireland hurling final 1995: Teams, winners, losers and where they are now

Clare fans will relish the chance to roll back the years tonight with RTE 2 showing the 1995 All-Ireland final win over Offaly.

The Banner men banished the legend of Biddy Early's curse to end an 81-year wait for hurling's greatest prize.

Substitute Eamonn Taaffe's second-half goal helped Ger Loughnane's charges hold off the Faithful for a two-point win after goals from Michael Duignan and Johnny Pilkington had put Offaly in control.

Scenes of ecstasy ensued as a hurling-mad county finally got back to the summit of the sport.

Here, Mirror Sport takes a quick look back at the teams, routes to the final and looks at what became of some of the star players on the winning side.

Where are the All-Ireland winners now?

Davy Fitz led Waterford to an All-Ireland final in 2008, landed Liam MacCarthy as Banner boss in 2013 and led Wexford to the Leinster title last year.

Legendary Clare full-back Brian Lohan is now the senior county boss.

Clare's former captain Anthony Daly managed Clare and brought unprecedented success to the Dublin hurlers. He has led a number of club sides and is a regular TV hurling pundit and co-commentator.
