Clare County Board have agreed to a new three year term for boss Brian Lohan.
The deal has not yet been confirmed but Lohan himself is aware of the agreement.
The County Board unanimously agreed the decision and the recommendation must be agreed by a full meeting of the Clare County Board.
In a statement from Clare GAA, they said: "At a meeting of the Clare County Board officers it was unanimously agreed that Brian Lohan be offered a new three year term as Senior Hurling manager.
"This recommendation has to be approved by a full meeting of Clare County Board. Brian Lohan is aware of this recommendation."
Clare impressed with a win against Waterford in the Munster Hurling Championship but were dumped out by Tipperary.
Clare then beat Wexford in the All-Ireland qualifiers but lost out to finalists Cork by one point.
