Clare Balding has been left "broken-hearted" after her beloved dog Archie passed away at the age of 15.
The sports broadcaster, 49, took to Twitter to honour her late pooch in a poignant tweet as she penned a thoughtful message from the heart.
Heartbroken Clare wrote: "I am so sad to tell you that our beloved Archie has walked his last walk.
"@alicearnold1 and I are broken-hearted but grateful to him for the joy he gave us, the places he took us and the friends he brought us.
"We miss him so much. RIP Archie 2005-2020."
The BBC sport presenter shared her beloved Tibetan Terrior with wife Alice Arnold.

Fans rushed to send their condolences and well wishes to the broadcasters following the tragic news.
One fan penned: "So sorry to hear this:( Archie was one of the reasons I got my first TT, Tashi, 10 years ago now. @clarebalding was kind enough to reply to my tweet back then to tell her what an influence Archie had! Tashi still going strong, and now joined by Mac too. Thank you Archie, RIP."

Another wrote: "So sorry to hear this. We were just admiring him on your Crufts shows a couple of weeks back. RIP Archie and big hugs from Paddy."
A third added: "I'm so sorry for your loss. When a dog passes away they take a little of your heart with them."
While Gogglebox presenter Kate Bottley penned: "I am so sorry for your loss, if there aren't dogs in heaven then I’m not going. If I get there before you I’ll give Archie an ear diggle xx"

It comes as dog-lover Clare announced that she is launching a new podcast to celebrate the UK's love of dogs - aptly named Dogcast.
The podcast is set to feature the broadcaster travelling around the country in search of personal dog-related stories - some of which are nothing short of tear-jerking.
