A man in his 40s has been stabbed to death in broad daylight outside a London Tube station - with witnesses claiming he had been involved in a car crash moments earlier.
Police have sealed off the streets around Clapham Common station where the knife attack took place as they comb the area for evidence and try and piece together what happened.
The 999 phone call was made to emergency services just after 2.30pm.
The man was found with stab wounds and paramedics battled in vain to save his life, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Photos and video in the aftermath of the murder show dozens of officers and paramedics surrounded by shocked bystanders as they watch the dying man being treated on the ground.
One distressed woman can be heard sobbing and screaming as she pleads: "What is going on in this country? Our children are dying every day."

A man named Huey P on Twitter said the man's injuries were so severe he thought he had been shot.
Huey tweeted: "Helped carry the guy out before the ambulance arrived.
"Saw this eyes rolled back. I pray he makes it. This violence has to stop.
"I didn’t see the incident only the immediate aftermath before police and ambulance services were on the scene."
In one photo, the man is shielded from view by officers holding a white sheet.
Another photo also appears to show a car which has mounted the pavement and hit a traffic light next to where the victim lies on the ground.

One person at the scene said it was "shocking" and "atrocious" but praised the response from the emergency services.
A witness has also claimed to have heard a "crash" before the man stumbled into the road.
They told the Evening Standard: "I heard a crash and I walked towards the noise and saw a car had hit into the traffic pole, but I don't know what happened.
"The passenger walked into the road and the ambulance came and they tried to do CPR [on the man] and the driver was sat in the seat".
Another person, who asked not to be named, said he believed the victim was attacked while sitting in a car.

He told the Standard: “I’ve been told that someone has been stabbed in a car, by about two or three people”.
No arrests have been made and police are still establishing the circumstances around the stabbing.
A Met Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 14:37hrs on Friday, 29 March following reports of a stabbing on Clapham Park Road, close to Clapham Common tube station.
"A man aged in his 40s was found suffering from stab wounds.
"Despite the efforts of paramedics he sadly died at the scene.
"The victim's next of kin have not yet been informed.

"Police are working to establish the circumstances.
"At this early stage there have been no arrests."
They added: "The Homicide and Major Crime Command are aware.
"A crime scene is in place.
"Road closures have been put in place, which may affect drivers whilst officers investigate. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
"Clapham Common tube station is not believed to be affected."

Lambeth Council also tweeted: "We are saddened to hear of this fatal stabbing in Clapham this afternoon.
"Thoughts are with the victim's family at this traumatic time. We will be working with LambethMPS as the situation develops."
They later added: "Due to the fatal incident in Clapham this afternoon members of the public are encouraged to avoid the area around Clapham Common tube station as the police continue their investigations at the scene."

The murder is the 31st in the capital so far this year, 20 of which involved knives.
Last night, a man in his early 20s died after being knifed near London Central Mosque in what police said was not a terror-related incident.
Met Police confirmed shortly after 8pm the man had died in hospital after being stabbed at a housing block in a nearby street.
Armed police sealed off the mosque near Regent's Park as they hunted suspects.
