Thousands of Scots have once again come out to show their support for NHS staff and key workers for helping to keep the country running during the coronavirus pandemic.
People across Scotland took to their windows, doorsteps, gardens and balconies for a third time since the lockdown to thank those fighting the deadly virus for the fourth week running.
'Clap for our Carers' took place at 8pm throughout the United Kingdom, as health staff and other key workers continued their amazing effort on the frontline.
The HM Coastguard in Angus and Mearns kept the piping spirit alive tonight too, with a lone player serenading their staff.
It comes after a similar tribute was paid the last three weeks, with a number of pipers joining the public as part of the 'Pipe Up! for key workers' a fortnight ago.
While others, like residents in Glasgow, banged pots and pans and cheered on come 8pm.
Nicola Sturgeon joined in the celebrations from Edinburgh, tweeting: "Proud as always tonight to #ClapForOurCarers #ClapForTheNHS - and indeed for everyone working to keep essential services going at this time. Thank you all".
779 people have now died from coronavirus in Scotland - an increase of 80 deaths overnight.
The number of confirmed cases has risen to 7,102 up 354 from Wednesday.
A total of 196 Scots are in intensive care receiving treatment, it has been confirmed.
Of the confirmed positive cases, 1,799 people are in hospital which is an increase of 51.
