Claim made on £59m EuroMillions jackpot won by lucky UK ticket holder

The potential British winner of a huge £59million EuroMillions jackpot has come forward to claim the prize.

A single-ticket holder scooped the huge £59,041,812.70 jackpot on Tuesday night.

Two days after the life changing draw, a person claiming to be the lucky ticket holder has come forward.

Camelot, which runs the National Lottery, will now assess the ticket to see if it is legitimate.

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What amazing news for this lucky ticket-holder who has claimed their amazing EuroMillions jackpot prize.

"We will now focus on supporting the ticket-holder through the process and on helping them to start to enjoy their life-changing win.”

This is the third EuroMillions jackpot won in the UK already this year.

Earlier this month, one lucky UK ticket-holder scooped the incredible £122,550,350.80 EuroMillions jackpot in the draw on Friday, 2 April 2021 to become the fifth biggest National Lottery winner ever.

On New Year’s Day a single UK ticket-holder banked an amazing £39M jackpot prize.

In 2020 four EuroMillions jackpots were won in the UK.

The UK’s biggest ever National Lottery win was a £170M jackpot won by an anonymous ticket-holder in the EuroMillions draw on 8 October 2019.

It was reported yesterday that a £1million National Lottery winner has just days to come forward to claim their prize - or it will vanish for good.

The mystery millionaire bought the winning ticket in Coventry but has yet to cash in.

According to the lottery operator, the winner has just two weeks left to claim their prize.

The final day to claim the cash won via a ticket purchased nearly six months ago will be on May 5.
