CHENNAI: Jharkhand openers Vikas Vishal (65) and Sharandeep Singh (51) batted brilliantly and added 124 runs in 30 overs but it wasn’t enough to stop Tamil Nadu from running away with three points (by the virtue of their of their first innings lead) on the final day in the sixth round match of the Col CK Nayudu Trophy (U-25 Men) at the ICL–Sankar Nagar Ground in Tirunelveli on Wednesday.
Tamil Nadu, in reply to Jharkhand's 316 in the first innings scored 415. Tamil Nadu bowlers -- M Siddharth (4/82) and Arun Mozhi (4/60) came with brilliant performances to bundle the visitors out for 204 in their second innings.
Tamil Nadu required 106 runs in a minimum of 9 overs for an outright win but could make 84 for 4 which denied them full points.
