CHENNAI: Inform batsman Daryl S Ferrario scored his third century (116, 261b, 9x4) in the ongoing season while wicket-keeper batsman S Lokeshwar notched up his second ton (126, 270b, 6x4s, 1x6) to help Tamil Nadu reach 397 for 9 against Jharkhand on the third day of the Col CK Nayudu Trophy (U-25 Men) at ICL–Sankar Nagar Ground in Tirunelveli on Tuesday.
The visitors struck early on the penultimate day taking the wicket of overnight batsman M Boopathi Vaishna Kumar (63) immediately after the start but during the day Daryl and Lokeshwar stood for a 95-run partnership for the fourth wicket to help Tamil Nadu take 81-run lead.
Lower order batsman and left-arm spinner M Siddharth, who bowled brilliantly (3/79) also contributed with the bat. The former Kolkata Knight Riders player scored 36 of 81 balls as the hosts crossed 300 plus mark. For Jharkhand Raunak Kumar (2/48), Manishi (2/121) and Aditya Singh (2/72) were the most successful bowlers.
