Civil and structural engineering consultancy SDA Design Consultants heads to new Leicestershire offices

Civil and structural engineering consultancy SDA Design Consultants is relocating to new offices following a successful year.

The business is moving to Kegworth, in north Leicestershire, from Swadlincote, which is about 15 miles to the west.

Management say it will give the team a better location to service a growing number of clients across the East Midlands, and provide a platform to deliver its next stage of growth.

The move comes off the back of a successful number of years for SDA which, while working for clients such as Unilever, JLL, Savills, ATL, West Bromwich Albion FC and Repton School, has delivered more 190 projects and grown the team with a further three experts.

General manager Mark Muckle, the general manager at SDA said: “It’s been a challenging work environment in recent months for every business, however I am delighted that SDA has continued to deliver world-class projects for its clients.

“The new offices are well positioned to serve the increasing SDA customer base, with improved links to South Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.

“Similarly, the new location allows for greater access to talent from these areas, helping to provide the business with the platform to deliver the next stage of its growth plan.

“The team has adapted to working from home incredibly well over the last three months, but hopefully we can safely have everyone in the new office in the not-too-distant-future.

“The official date for the office move will be July 1, however the team will continue to work remotely until further Government guidance is provided.

“We will of course be taking all the necessary safety precautions and will ensure social distancing is maintained throughout the moving process.”

Part of the IFP Group, SDA was acquired by Integrated Food Projects in 2017, when it launched a new service-engineering division to advise clients of both businesses, specifically those within the food and beverage industry.
