City's new Liverpool FC fan bar opens with a huge Klopp portrait, boot room and King Kenny pizzas

A new Liverpool FC themed bar, Jurgens Bierhaus, has finally opened its doors facing the city's iconic waterfront.

The venue, which has opened in the former Tom Halls Tavern, will be made up of two bars - the main bar area and the Boot Room which seats 120 customers and will be used for football events, meals, sports dinners, charity events and more.

Inside, the venue is filled with signed shirts and boots from players past and present, while the menu includes pizzas such as The King Kenny as well as beer-soaked hot dogs.

Local artist Paul Curtis was commissioned to create two main feature walls.

The first is a huge Jurgen Klopp portrait which faces customers as they enter the venue. While the second is a Hillsborough tribute wall.

Jurgens Bierhaus will be serving food from 11am until midnight Monday to Thursday. The bar will be open until 12:30am Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Debbie Fitzpatrick, general manager said: "We are looking forward to welcoming customers near and far.

"With a long list of football themed events, quizzes and sportsmen's dinners planned we are excited to now be opening in time for the Champions League."

Liverpool supporters fan card holders will get 20% off all drinks and food for the first three months.
