City of OKC Twitter account thanks Russell Westbrook following trade

Although it was time for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Russell Westbrook to part ways — with the point guard now on his way to Houston to play with former Thunder teammate James Harden on the Rockets — Westbrook had been the one constant on the floor over the last 11 seasons.

But Westbrook’s impact on Oklahoma City wasn’t solely limited to what he did on the hardwood. He ingrained himself in the community. The City of OKC Twitter made sure to remind fans of that following the news of his trade by showing their appreciate:
