Maitland was a sea of colour over the weekend as a series of stunning light projections transformed the city.
Neon Nights at The Levee returned again this year at the junction of Elgin and High Street, and down the lane to the River Side Carpark on Friday and Saturday with glow in the dark mini-golf, a pop up DJ and old school video games at the 'projection arcade'.
The Summer Lights project is running until Australia Day, from sunset to 11pm, and sees The Maitland Post Office, The Riverlink and 437 High Street (previously known as Taylors of Maitland) transformed with vibrant light projections.
"This is a great chance to have a night out in Central Maitland, see something different and enjoy a meal and a few drinks at some of the great nightspots around the city precinct," Council's Senior Place Activation Officer Portia Wendt said.
Maitland Council successfully secured additional funding under NSW government's The Festival of Place - Summer Fund to expand the footprint of Neon Nights.
