City evacuating 80,000 people, mostly tourists, after Covid cases

A city popular with tourists has launched an evacuation operation to remove 80,000 people - mostly travellers - after three positive cases of Covid-19.

The tourists will be taken out of Dananag in Vietnam over the next four days with around 100 flights a day dedicated to the exercise.

The Vietnamese Government said the people will be taken to 11 other cities in the country.

Those being taken out of Danang will have to quarantine for 14 days in their new locations.

The three cases were detected on Sunday and include a 17-year-old boy and a 71-year-old woman.
