In 2019, the total number of "days where Mt. Fuji was seen" has been calculated by Fuji City of Shizuoka Prefecture as they observed the view of Mt. Fuji. They could view the mountain, in its entirety, 119 days last year. This is 21 days more than the previous year, which had the fewest number of unobscured views of Mt. Fuji.

Since 1991, the city employees view Mt. Fuji three times a day from city hall's eighth-floor camera, which is fixed on Mt. Fuji. The cumulative number of "partially seen days" and "entirely seen days," was 207 days.

On the other hand, the number of days where Mt. Fuji could "not be seen at all," was 158 days. Separating it according to time, 8:00 a.m. was the best time to view Mr. Fuji. The likelihood of being able to see the entirety of the mountain was not dependent upon sunny days. Even if it was sunny at ground level, the view of Mt. Fuji could be obstructed at higher elevation due to clouds or fog.

Observation records are posted on the city's website.
