City centre store Forever 21 closed suddenly due to 'unforeseen circumstances'

Major city centre retailer Forever 21 has closed suddenly.

The store, which is based on the corner of Whitechapel and Church Street, has signs across its windows apologising to customers.

It is expected to be closed all weekend.

According to the signs, the store has closed due to "unforeseen circumstances".

The sign reads: "This store is currently closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

"We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. We anticipate to be open for trade Monday 30th September 2019."

Through the glass all the lights inside the store appear to off and no staff could be spotted either.

Forever 21 sells a range of both woman and mens clothing. It is currently the 5th largest retailer in the US, according to its website.
