A section of a city centre road has been closed off due to emergency works taking place.
Midland Street has been blocked off to all westbound traffic at its junction with Jamaica Street whilst Scottish Water undertakes "emergency works".
Glasgow City Council's Traffic Control and Management (TraffCom) team confirmed the unexpected closure.
It is not currently known how long the closure will be in place for.
A statement from TraffCom reads: "Due to Scottish Water emergency works, Midland Street has been closed to all westbound traffic at its junction with Jamaica Street."
Signs for all diversions are in place on the roads whilst the works continue.
