Large parts of Castle Street were in darkness this evening and a number of bars had to close because of a power issue.
The usually busy street, usually known as a popular weekend haunt in the city centre, stood quiet this evening.
The ECHO understands a 'power issue' has impacted several bars on the city centre street.

Images taken by the ECHO show a number of bars in darkness with their doors closed - while small groups of people walk the usually bustling street.
Bars and restaurants including Mcguffie & Co, Sanctuary Tap, Rox and Pasta Cosa were closed with no lights on.
A note on the door of one venue said: "Unfortunately we are closed for the weekend due to a power issue. Sorry for any inconvenience caused."
A spokesperson for National Grid told the ECHO they were not aware of any issues.
