Planners have given the go ahead for the expansion of city centre cocktail bar, Tabac.
In June, Glasgow Live reported Tabac's intention to extend the venue into the adjacent unit at 10A Mitchell Lane, the former home of DLC Hairdressing.
The proposals include for the salon to be changed into a public bar, with a walkthrough from the existing Tabac, a new fit out, mezzanine floor and spiral staircase.
Plans, produced by Paul Martin Designs on behalf of owners Cascio Ltd, also make reference to a 'new cocktail unit', hinting at what we can maybe expect from the future Tabac.
Planning permission has been granted by Glasgow City Council, subject to conditions, with planners requesting extra details for the spiral staircase, seated areas, paint on external areas and the new external doors, prior to installation.

The current venue, previously Bar 10, sits across from The Lighthouse in the heart of the city centre and has become increasingly popular in recent years, delivering delicious European-style grub and carefully-crafted cocktails to packed out crowds on Friday and Saturday nights. Meanwhile, their Panther Milk Bar is renowned as a legendary weekend drinking spot.
