'Mayhem' as bus crashes into railings in city centre and causes major travel disruption
A bus crash has caused major travel disruption in Liverpool city centre this morning.
Both Merseytravel and Merseyside Police urged people to avoid the area where necessary.
Marta Bona, who was on the 82 bus on her way to work, said: "The traffic was getting really bad and I could see everyone getting off their buses to walk - it was mayhem."

Liverpool continues to fall behind in Covid vaccine uptake
The number of people who have been single or double jabbed has stalled in the city ahead of what could be a very difficult winter for local health services.
Across England, 85.6% of people aged 12 years and over have received one dose of a Covid-19 jab, while 78.6% have now had both vaccines - offering them the highest level of protection against the virus.

Appeal for missing woman last seen in her pyjama bottoms
Police are appealing to the public for help to find a missing woman.
Detectives are describing Gaynor Keegan as white, 5ft 1inch tall, and of medium build with long black hair and brown eyes.
Gaynor, from Kensington, was last seen in the Geneva Road area on Thursday, October 7.
