Beloved Slater Street bar Santa Chupitos is to permanently close after 13 years in business.
The bar was incredibly popular thanks to its elaborate and inventive cocktails - like the Pulp Fiction inspired $5 Shake, which was served up in a traditional glass milk bottle - as well as its stylish décor, eclectic music and laid back atmosphere.
The bar occupied a corner plot on the cobblestone streets, where hoards of people would often queue outside to pack themselves into the small but mighty venue. Often hailed as Liverpool's first independent cocktail bar, it's shutting up shop after over a decade.

The popular venue has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. It's not the only bar to suffer in the wake of multiple lockdowns and restrictions, with many independent shops, businesses, restaurants and more succumbing to the same fate.
John Ennis, director of Santa Chupitos, explained: "We're really sad to see Santas go and have loved watching it evolve and welcome thousands of people since we opened in 2009. Since Covid, things have changed drastically for the hospitality industry - there's been a huge shift in clientele and we recognised that Santas wasn't trading the way it had done pre-Covid."
He added: "Santas will always be really special to GSG Hospitality as it was our first ever venue and the first independent cocktail bar in the city centre. It was the catalyst for others to open their own venues and we thank everyone for their support. There's been many good times, lots of new friendships, even marriages and we thank everyone who made that happen and continue to support us all over the city."
