TM Lewin has closed its doors after it became the latest retailer to collapse into administration at the cost of 600 jobs.
The 122-year-old shirtmaker's 66 shops, which also sell shoes, suits and ties, will disappear from the Hight Street but will continue to sell online.
The firm blamed the coronavirus pandemic for the move to digital only as it could not afford to pay rents after stores shut in March.
The shop is popular among young London City boys and girls for its reasonable prices.
In a statement, Resolve, which has been hired to restructure the business, said: "After considerable review, and due to the many issues currently being experienced by high street retailers, it has been determined that the future of the brand will be online only.”
TM Lewin is the latest high street name to go digital only.
Karen Millen, Coast, Oasis, Warehouse and Laura Ashley are all selling online after going bust in recent months.
