City Beach is returning to Leeds city centre this summer

Get your bucket and spades at the ready as the beach is coming to Leeds city centre this summer.

The popular City Beach has announced it is returning for its seventh year with the attraction looking to bring all the fun and games of the beach to Leeds.

When it is in residence, the beach will be free to visit with deck chairs on offer to families and there will be ample place to build sandcastles.

The beach will be based in Victoria Gardens outside Leeds Art Gallery between Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, September 1.

It will be open to visitors between 10.30am and 6pm.

At the beach, there will be a funfair rides which visitors will be charged to use as well as food and drink stalls.

The event is organised by International Funfairs in partnership with Leeds City Council .
