Citroen provides the personal touch with updated C3 supermini

BUYERS can personalise the Citroen C3 more than ever before following a revamp of the popular supermini.

Available to order in the UK now, with first customer deliveries expected in August, the French marque’s worldwide best-seller is now available with up to 97 different exterior combinations.

Helping it to stand out even more, the facelifted C3 features a funkier revised front end with LED lighting, new 17in alloys and fresh Airbump designs.

Owners have a choice of co-ordinated colour packs and new Techwood and Emerald interior finishes. Further personalisation options include a range of roof decor graphics.

Standard kit on the entry-level Feel model, priced from £16,280, includes a seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic air con, cruise control with speed limiter, lane departure warning, speed sign recognition and coffee break alert.

Mid-range Flair versions – starting from £17,330 – come with stylish 16in diamond-cut alloy wheels, bi-tone roof and colour co-ordinated door mirrors, automatic headlights and rear parking sensors.

The range-topping Flair Plus costs from £18,730 and features 17in diamond-cut alloys, sat nav, armchair-like Advanced Comfort seats, active safety brake, driver attention alert, intelligent beam headlights, emergency assistance and a reversing camera.

A Techwood ambience with soft-touch materials and special stitching, and a dashboard finished with a “light wood” appearance, co-ordinated with striped detailing on the seats, is also standard on the Flair Plus.

Providing yet more choice, a no-cost Emerald ambience is also available at this level – with special detailing on the dashboard and a matching thick stripe on the front seat backrests and on the outer rear seats.

A selection of efficient engines start with an 83hp 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The same unit is also offered with an output of 110hp mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

For those who prefer diesel, there is a 102hp 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit with a five-speed manual gearbox. Prices top out at £21,270 for a Flair Plus 110hp petrol automatic.
