Cities: Skylines II to Launch First Asset Pack with Beach Properties

It's been a while since Cities: Skylines II was released. If you're one of those enjoying the game, then we have good news for you. Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order is set to release the first ever post-launch asset pack of the game. Titled as "Beach Properties," it's coming out on March 25 and to be priced at $9.99.

Once this new Asset Pack goes live, it's sure to bring life to the waterfront areas. There's no question that by specializing in buildings which kiss the edge of the water, it brings the tranquility and beauty of coastal living to your city. Here are some of the new features to look forward to:

  • Waterfront Zone
    • A new residential zoning option that's dedicated to waterfront buildings.
    • It allows players to redefine the city's coastline.
  • Beach Properties
    • Each theme introduces growable residential buildings that's simply waiting to populate the new waterfront zone.
    • These include charming beachside cottages and all the way to luxurious waterfront mansions.
  • Signature Waterfront Buildings
    • Signature buildings can highlight the beachfront of the city.
    • It's been tailored to fit into European or North American architectural themes.

Modding Tool

There's better news for everyone! In addition to the first asset pack of the game, the in-game modding options and tools is also coming out on the same date. Modding Beta introduces the in-game editor which allow players to create or even implement Map or Code mods. Meanwhile, there's also the Paradox Mods which has been integrated to the game experience. With this, the different creations can be played locally while also shared globally. The platform also lets players discover and curate other available mods and organize their preferred mods into one-click Playsets, to name a few. more. Asset modding tools and other options are going to be available later this year.

Other New Content

But wait, there's more! A new in-game Radio, which is the Deluxe Relax Station, is releasing on March 25. It features a new host along with a full hour of new music. The Deluxe Relax Station is available on PC and priced at $4.99. It's also part of the Cities: Skylines II Waterfronts Expansion Pass or Ultimate Edition.

Cities: Skylines II was released for the PC back in October 2023. It's set to come out for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S in the second quarter of this year.
