Ciryl Gane is getting his wish.
Gane (7-0 MMA, 4-0- UFC) will take on Jairzinho Rozenstruik (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night on March 13. The event currently does not have a confirmed venue or location.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. La Sueur was the first to report the news.
Gane continued his assent up the heavyweight rankings when he dispatched former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos at UFC 256. After stopping Dos Santos, the undefeated Frenchman told MMA Junkie that he was interested in a matchup with Rozenstruik, which ended up quickly materializing.
Rozenstruik is also coming off a second-round finish of Dos Santos, which took place at UFC 252 last August. Prior to that, he suffered his first-career blemish when he was stopped by Francis Ngannou at UFC 249.
With the addition, the March 13 fight card includes:
- Leon Edwards vs. Khamzat Chimaev
- Davey Grant vs. Jonathan Martinez
- Matthew Semelsberger vs. Jason Witt
- Jinh Yu Frey vs. Gloria de Paula
- Ciryl Gane vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik
