Ciryl Gane, Tanner Boser get quick turnarounds, will fight at UFC on ESPN+ 23

The UFC is wasting no time in booking two of its heavyweight up-and-comers.

Less than two weeks since their most recent in-cage appearances, Ciryl Gane (5-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Tanner Boser (17-5-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) have been booked to fight each another at UFC on ESPN+ 23 in Busan, South Korea. The promotion announced the booking Thursday.

France’s Gane has won both of his UFC outings since being signed to the promotion earlier this year. The former professional kickboxer and TKO MMA heavyweight champion hasn’t gone to the judges yet in the UFC.

Known for his knockout abilities, Gane has displayed his versatility. After he submitted Raphael Pessoa by first-round arm triangle choke in August, Francis Ngannou training partner Gane successfully heel hooked UFC debutant Don’Tale Mayes in early October.

Canada’s Boser picked up his first UFC victory in early October in Boston when he defeated Daniel Spitz by unanimous decision. Boser was originally slated to debut at UFC 240 in Edmonton in August, but his opponent, Giacamo Lemos, was flagged by USADA and the bout was scrapped.

With the addition, the UFC on ESPN+ 23 lineup includes:

  • Brian Ortega vs. Chan Sung Jung
  • Volkan Oezdemir vs. Alexander Rakic
  • Alexandre Pantoja vs. Matt Schnell
  • Sabina Mazo vs. TBA
  • Da Un Jung vs. Mike Rodriguez
  • Marc-Andre Barriault vs. Jun Yong Park
  • Amanda Lemos vs. Veronica Macedo
  • Doo Ho Choi vs. Charles Jourdain
  • Dong Hyun Ma vs. Omar Morales
  • Ciryl Gane vs. Tanner Boser
