Circle K is working to rectify an error after customers were double charged last week.
A number of the petrol station chain's Irish stores were affected last Thursday February 13 with many frustrated customers checking their bank accounts to see they were charged twice after paying in the station.
One customer who used the station in Kilcoole said they've finally been reimbursed a week later, Dublin Live reports.
Another two who used separate stations near Bray also reported the same.
It appears an order has been sent to fix the issue and many have been refunded depending on what bank they're with.
Those who got overcharged and haven't been refunded are expected to have it back in their accounts by Friday.
A spokeswoman for Circle K said the issue was down to a processing error and apologised sincerely for the mistake.
She said: “A processing error on the part of our external banking provider has resulted in customers experiencing duplicate transactions on 13.02.20.
“Upon discovery of this error, Circle K immediately contacted our external banking provider who investigated the matter thoroughly and identified all impacted customers.
“All necessary information has now been shared with the relevant banking providers and reversals of the transactions in question are currently being processed.
“We expect that all account balances will be fully corrected within two to three days.
“We deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused our customers and apologise sincerely."
