Circle Inspector of Police at Hunsagi Doulat N. Kuri has bagged the Chief Minister’s gold medal for 2021 for his immense contribution to the department and service to the people during the period.
Mr. Doulat was conferred the award in Bengaluru on Saturday.
He was selected as Police Sub-Inspector in 2003 and served in different police stations since then. Mr. Kuri arrested an accused who was absconding for 12 years even after conviction.
When he was serving as Circle Inspector of Police in Hunsagi, he cracked the murder of a son of jewellery shop owner and arrested the accused in seven hours after the crime and seized gold ornaments valued over ₹1 crore.
People have appreciated the officer for getting the prestigious award. “He deserves such an award as his service to society is immense,” State secretary of Bhartiya Kisan Sangh Raghavendra Kamanatagi said.
