Cinnamon Bazaar have launched a mince pie naan bread

Christmas is a time for unapologetic indulgence, but one London restaurant has gone a step further, serving up a traditional treat in a decidedly untraditional way.

Covent Garden Indian favourite Cinnamon Bazaar has created a garam masala mince pie naan bread for the festive season.

The buttery bread is made up of dried fruits, nuts and spices that have been marinated in dark rum, brandy and red wine for six months to give a zesty, fragrant flavour. It's also the same recipe used for the fruit in the garam masala Christmas pudding at sister restaurant the Cinnamon Club. Created by head chef Vivek Singh, the yuletide naan serves two people and is on offer for both lunch or dinner.

The Christmassy treat is served with a homemade cinnamon ice cream, with the option to be bruleed at the table.

Coming in at £7 – or £6 without ice cream – the dish is available now until January 2, so there’s plenty of time to get your mitts on the festive creation.
