Cineworld stops selling Tango Ice Blast - and people aren't happy

It has become a key part of many cinema trips but if you're expecting to pick up a Tango Ice Blast on your next film outing, you may be left disappointed.

Cineworld has stopped selling its extremely popular frozen drinks and replaced it with new product Icee, which is made by Vimto.

And it's fair to say cinema goers are not really happy with the news.

One said: "Cineworld have stopped selling tango ice blast. Honestly could 2019 get any worse??"

Another commented: "Never been so disappointed in my life, going to watch Endgame and seeing an Icee machine instead of Tango ice blast."

A third added: "Life was going great until I read that @cineworld is dropping #tangoiceblast."

"@cineworld please tell me you're not getting rid of Tango Ice Blast and replacing it with Vimto? Because for real if that's true I'm going to the dark side and moving my Unlimited to an @ ODEONCinemas membership # BringBackTangoIceBlast," a final upset fan added.

And yes, that is a 'Bring Back Tango Ice Blast' hashtag you just read - but they're not the only ones campaigning for its return.

Another Twitter user said: "Won't be going to @ cineworld anymore , it’s the best part of the cinema an ice blast no ? # absolutejoke BringBackTangoIceblast."

In response to the disgruntled customers, a statement from Cineworld read: "While we've had a lot of positive feedback, it's a shame to hear that some people are disappointed with our decision to introduce ICEE.

"We know how important our customers’' favourite snacks and drinks are to their movie-going experience, and we are pleased to offer the world’s leading frozen beverage brand among a variety of other drink options to ensure customers can enjoy their favourite drink while watching a film.

"We provide a wide range of drink options and customers are also welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic drinks to the cinema."

But fear not, the likes of Vue, Odeon, and Showcase will all still be selling the sought after treat.

Or for Manchester Tango Ice Blast fans, there's always the Arndale centre .
