Cineworld plans to reopen its cinemas across the UK from early July

Cineworld has announced it plans to open back up its cinemas next month.

The exact date has not yet been finalised but the cinema giant has said it is working towards July 10 onwards.

It comes after the government announced non-essential shops could reopen from Monday - a move to kick start the economy since lockdown.

The next phase would be the leisure and hospitality industry.

Cineworld bosses have said they would ensure the correct Covid-19 procedures and restrictions were in place to protect their staff and customers.

And bosses have also promised to be back with a bang when it comes to what films they will show, reports the LadBible.

These include Mulan, Tenet, A Quiet Place Part II and No Time To Die.

In a press release, the company said: "We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all of our employees and guests.

"We deeply value our movie-loving customers and their health and wellbeing is our number one priority during this difficult time. We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as possible to enjoy a full slate of film releases."
